As one of the most famous animation and action hero theme song singers in Japan, Ichirou Mizuki has released more than 1000 songs since his 1971 debut with the song “Genshi Shonen Ryu”.

In 1999, he held ａ“1000songs　concert” ,one of the most amazing events in the history of music.

He sang 1000 songs continuously in 24 hours.

The success of the “1000 songs concert “ is nowａlegend in Japan.

More than 30 years have past since his debut, and his success endures.

1968 - Debut from Columbia Japan as pop singer.

1971- Released first animation theme song “ Genshi shonen Ryu”.

After this song was released, Ichirou Mizuki continuously released popular animation songs such as “Mazinger Z”, “Great Mazinger”, and　“Mask Rider X”.

1978 - Released “Captain Harlock”.　This famous recording was accompanied by a 68 member symphony orchestra .

1983 - Released song “Romantic Again”. For this he received the Columbia Golden disk award. This was his 10th time to be awarded with a golden disk from Columbia.

1997 - Ending contract with Columbia Records Japan. Released the　album “Super Robot Wars” 　withFirst smile entertainment. This was the beginning of the　“Super Robot spirits” tour that is now　being held every year attracting thousands of enthusiastic fans. 

1998 - Hosted radio show “Super Robot spirits”.

1999 - Main acting role as “Voicelugger Gold” in the television　show which　featured　a story originally written by Ishinomori Shotaro .

1999 -August 30 to August 31, He completed the “1000 song concert”. Ichirou Mizuki has sung 1000 songs continuously for 24 hours.

2001 - Live performance in Hong Kong at the　“Hong Kong Character Showcase”　convention. The audience in Hong Kong welcomed Ichirou Mizuki with　great　enthusiasm. They sang his song along in Japanese. His visit was covered in many famous magazines in Hong Kong.

2001 - Released “Atsukurushiize”- the theme song of the　drama “Ryori Shonen K taro” (NHK TV station).

Released debut 30th year anniversary album “Aniki Jishin”.

2002 - Appeared in one of the most famous talk shows in Japan “ Tetsuko no heya”.

2002(June 19) -Threw the first pitch for the opening ceremony for Japanese professional baseball team, the Chunichi Dragons in Nagoya dome. 

Sang the theme song for the team Chunichi Dragons for this event -「Moeyo Doragons 2002」-released by Columbia Japan.
